What this site records, and what it does not
Nothing here sets a cookie, asks you to sign in or loads an advertising or analytics script, and the fonts load from military-aptitude-tests.com itself. On the server side two logs exist: one for some visits that start on another site, one for taps on study-app buttons. Every field of both is listed below, as the code writes it.
Visits that start somewhere else
Cloudflare serves the pages. A page view goes into the log only if it was referred: you followed a link from some other site, the address carried a utm source parameter, or an AI assistant fetched the page for a person, or an AI search engine crawled it. Moving between our own pages, a bookmark or a typed address leaves no entry, and neither do crawlers gathering training data.
One entry stores:
- which page was opened, the Referer header and any utm tags (source, medium, campaign);
- your IP address, the ASN of its network and who operates that network;
- the country, region and city Cloudflare guesses from the IP;
- the browser's self-description (user-agent).
The point is to see which search engines, AI assistants and websites bring applicants to which guides.
Study-app buttons
A study-app button passes through go.military-aptitude-tests.com, the site's redirect host. On an iPhone or iPad the tap ends at that test's app in Apple's store, an Android phone to the same app on Google Play; a computer, or a phone for which the test has no app, lands on the test's practice page on this site. One entry is logged per tap:
- which test, which platform and destination, and the page you tapped on;
- IP address, ASN and network operator, Cloudflare's location estimate from the IP (country, then region, then city, plus time zone) and the Cloudflare node that replied;
- any parameters in the link, plus the Referer and user-agent headers.
The link to the store is tagged with this site's name (Apple's campaign token, Google's install referrer), and with a different tag when you arrived from an AI assistant's answer, so an install can be traced back to this site. From that point the store's owner, Apple or Google, applies its own privacy terms.
Referrer policy
Our HTML responses go out with Referrer-Policy set to no-referrer-when-downgrade, which lets the redirect host see the page a button sat on. The redirect host then answers with a stricter policy of its own, so the store sees only the redirect host's name and never the page.
Your answers in a quiz
Scoring runs inside the page. Your choices are not transmitted and not written to browser storage; closing the tab or reloading wipes them.
